Defiant Celtic's manager does not fear being fired however supporters display wrath after loss.
The Celtic boss insisted he had no concerns about losing his job, maintaining, “I believe we are very near to a turnaround,” despite sliding worryingly close to being fired with a heavy setback against Rangers.
Another Capitulation Sees Old Firm Disaster
Celtic were ahead the visitors at half-time but a disastrous second period enabled the Gers to move level on points with the current Scottish Premiership champions. The former MLS manager, who was appointed from the MLS, has now overseen six losses in eight matches.

Nancy’s Persistent Belief
Nancy continues to cling to the fact his team show good levels for one half at a time. In fact, were it not for missed chances they would have been more than 1-0 up. “The performance had merit aside from the fact that we missed more goals,” he said. “I know that we lost, but I have also to be fair.
“The standard we had at times was really, really, really high. That is a fact. And I would not talk like that if it was untrue. Therefore, when it comes to wins, I said this is the same story. Which is why I feel a change is coming to getting it right. But for the moment: details, details, details.”
“There were a lot of encouraging signs that we did, as was the case today. However it’s about performing for 90 minutes. My message would change the same. This is why I am convinced we will manage to turn things around.”
Röhl’s Cautious Response
The victorious boss was cautious about a championship push in spite of what seemed like a statement victory. “One match at a time, so we can develop something here,” he said. “The confidence in the team is excellent.”
